ATA architecture — ATA Platform and Customer Environment

Desktop Client

  1. 1.Typically used by Dev & QA Engineers for doing local development & Testing
  2. 2.It can be installed on Windows and Mac machines.
  3. 3.Users can make both private and public APIs calls, set up schedulers, security, performance and UI Testing.

ATA Local Agent

  1. 1.Typically used by Dev & QA Engineers on local machines for specifically testing private API calls.
  2. 2.ATA Local Agent is available downloads section of the websites.
  3. 3.When user go to ata.dev on the browser on the local machine, system automatically detects if the agent is running on the machine and then it routes all calls via ATA Local Agent.

ATA CLI

  1. 1.Typically used by DevOps team to execute test cases via commandline or via CI/CD process.
  2. 2.ATA CLI is a npm package which can be installed in local or server.
  3. 3.For Private API calls, it uses ATA Server Agent.

ATA Server Agent

  1. 1.Typically used by DevOps team to execute monitoring test cases and running UI test cases which exists only in private network.
  2. 2.ATA Server Agent is available via downloads section of the website. https://www.ata.dev/downloads
  3. 3.It polls for any new scheduler activity that needs to be executes within the network.
